This blog is a not for profit initiative. It was founded in September 2008 by way of a free blog provider (available here). The blog attracted considerably high volume of traffic and had overwhelming response, viewership and visitors, especially from the Oracle technologist. In January 2012, mahawar.net domain was registered and all posts from blog were made available. Utmost care was taken to keep all the comments, subscribers and followers during the migration.
The blog site is an ad-free avataar of its predecessor blog version hosted on a free blog provider. Ad-free website provides seamless reading experience to visitors like you and maintains the aesthetic look of the website. mahawar.net is used as a medium to promote for the social causes from time to time to create awareness among the internet fraternity. Dharma Sthambha Yojana, Meatless Day, Web Accessibility, World No Tobacco Day are some of the social causes which are prominent amongst the many other causes.
This way the website ensures that the human emotions and sensitivity is valued and does not get lost in the technological revolution.
The bulk of website cost is incurred on the domain and web hosting services. Domain registration is annual charges which is paid for renewal of the domain name. Web hosting is a multi-year charge (5 years) for webspace and content management which got expired on 12-Jan-2018. The domain is now registered under domain names for M/s. Mahawar Vijay & Co., with annual subscription fee. The website hosting was also transferred to new service provider for better services and was renewed for 3 years.
With adequate support, in Nov-2019, the website domain and hosting plan got extended by another 5 years until 2025. This blog still being operated as Not for profit initiative of M/s. Mahawar Vijay & Co. You can get the access to the site financials here.
